Join us for our fourth annual celebration of Beltane! We’re delighted to welcome
Dish by Art to the orchard who will be serving up delicious food all afternoon.
The bar will be stocked with the best locally made drinks available (beer from Lucky 7, wine from Black Mountain Vineyard and gin and tonics from Hay Distillery) with cider from ourselves of course! We’ll also have a good range of non-alcoholic options.
As if that wasn’t enough we’ll also be treated to some wonderful music from ‘The Devils Dream’ who will be playing evocative and fiery tunes from the mountains of Appalachia on old-time fiddle and clawhammer banjo and will be sure to have you up and dancing!
Come and join us around the campfire for a truly memorable Beltane!
Parking is first come, first served at the venue. Alternatively, we are reachable by foot via the Wye Valley Walk- a beautiful stroll directly across the fields from Hay on Wye that takes around 40mins. Additional un-official parking may also be available at St. Mary’s Church, Clifford. (//////delighted.wicked.hardback).
Our popular tour and tasting is your chance to learn all about the work we’re putting into creating our museum orchard, the creatures that inhabit it as well as all about how the cider is made. Rich in tales from cider’s colourful history, the tour is also peppered with local stories and folklore.
After admiring the breath-taking view of the Black Mountains at the top of the orchard and exploring the fermentation rooms you will also get to enjoy a glass of three different ciders, whilst sat in our permaculture garden during which we will personally talk you through how we created them.
Whether you’re already a cider connoisseur or have yet to try your first drop, we cater for all and hope you will go away armed with new knowledge about this wonderful beverage and the land and people that produce it!
Come out to the Yew Tree on Saturday 26th at 7pm for our talk and tasting with @artistrawcider!! The absolute legends Lydia and Tom will be in the event room with us presenting some astoundingly tasty brand new ciders. Plus there’s legendary focaccia from @thefirebirdkitchen as part of the bread and cheese buffet. Just £15 tickets on the door at @yewtreepeterstow. Pure joy awaits.
