Celebrating British Cider with Barny Butterfield of Sandford Orchards at Darts Farm.
You’ll be welcomed with a refreshing glass of cider and an introduction from one of the worlds best cider makers, Barny Butterfield of Sandford Orchards, alongside his head cidermaker, Jake.
A unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of cider, from heritage and provenance to production and fermentation; with a tour of our heritage orchard on the farm, followed by a tour of our small batch cidery in The Farm Table.
We will then come together in The Farm Table for a guided cider tasting and 2-course meal, sampling five exceptional ciders from various small batch, British producers.
Following the sell-out success of last year’s event we are once again opening up the cellar of The Cider Works to the intrepid as part of our British Cider week celebrations.
If you’ve been on one of our tours before then think again as this is next level access, where you will get to taste juice from rare and unknown apple varieties and small batch ciders that may never see the light of day. You’ll discover the flavours of ciders as they mature and find out what the cider makers are looking for when they are creating new cider blends.
The intimate tour will be followed by cheese and charcuterie platters, giving you a chance to sit and talk with Barny Butterfield and the cider makers to pick their brains further on all things cider.
There are only a very limited number of tickets available for this specialist tour so book early to avoid disappointment.
