The Big Apple Blossomtime

The Big Apple Blossomtime

This is an annual special springtime opportunity to enjoy the lovely countryside and orchards of the Marcle Ridge in Herefordshire, where local orchards are famous both for their cider fruit and their dessert and culinary fruit.  This is normally the peak of the blossom season so the trees can look spectacular.  Blossomtime operates over several venues in Putley and Aylton.

Putley Parish Hall (car parking, tickets, information, guided walks, refreshments),

Court Farm Barn (crafts, talks and a variety of rural activities),

Yew Tree Farm (perry orchard, perry tasting)

Dragon Orchard (cider and perry tasting, sales and daytime entertainment).

All venues are within easy walking distance of each other but there is also a tractor and trailer service running between all venues between 10am and 5pm both days.

that’s two guests for just £22!  USE DISCOUNT CODE: CIDERWEEK

If you’ve never done a Kentish Pip Cider Tour, here’s what to expect…

Our expert Howard leads a small group through the orchards every Sunday from April to September to learn about our varieties and growing techniques (with cider samples along the way, of course!)

Then the tour heads into the cidery to see exactly how the cider is made. The afternoon wraps up in the Barn with a guided tasting of five ciders.

It’s a few hours of fun, and  one of the best ways to spend a Sunday (we think).

Spots are limited and dates go fast, so if you’re tempted don’t sit on it.

Book via the Woolton Farm website — link in bio.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. You must be over 18 to consume alcohol on the premises and we operate a challenge 25 policy for ID.

Parking available on site.

Sheppy’s Master of Cider Tour and Supper

Sheppy’s Master of Cider Tour and Supper

As part of British Cider Week – a new initiative led by the National Association of Cider Makers (NACM) which is a campaign designed to encourage consumers to explore the diversity of ciders produced in the UK – David Sheppy is inviting guests to join him on a guided tour and tasting on the cider farm.

During the tour you will visit to our orchards, before showing you one of our vat houses, and then our press house.

Your tour will finish off with a fully tutored tasting of a selection of Sheppy’s award- winning Somerset ciders chosen by David. The evening will continue with a Q&A session asking David questions about his time in the cider business.

Ticket includes a sharing supper.
