Our cider tour and tasting events will take place every Sunday from April to September. These tours start from 12 noon.
As part of British Cider Week – a new initiative led by the National Association of Cider Makers (NACM) which is a campaign designed to encourage consumers to explore the diversity of ciders produced in the UK – David Sheppy is inviting guests to join him on a guided tour and tasting on the cider farm.
During the tour you will visit to our orchards, before showing you one of our vat houses, and then our press house.
Your tour will finish off with a fully tutored tasting of a selection of Sheppy’s award- winning Somerset ciders chosen by David. The evening will continue with a Q&A session asking David questions about his time in the cider business.
Ticket includes a sharing supper.
EXPERT-LED CIDER AND PERRY TASTING:
To celebrate British Cider Week The Hop Inn Hornchurch will be hosting a tasting and celebration of the glory of cider and perry made in Britain, from 100% freshly pressed juice. Led by Pommelier and cider advocate Alison Taffs, we will be tasting our way through six exquisite examples of the very best that British apples and pears have to offer, from some of the UK’s best craft makers.
We will sample some delicious ciders from nearby Kent, as well as some tasty juicy things from the West Country.
We will sample some Herefordshire cider from Tom Oliver made especially for cheese with a nice piece of Cheddar!
Pop in to The Hop Inn for your tickets, or drop us a line on team@hopinnhornchurch.com.
